ARAD, Adv Teaching Dip, RAD Examiner

Aged 11 won Surrey Scholarship to Elmhurst Ballet School gaining
all RAD Vocational examinations. Subsequently as accepted to The
Royal Ballet Upper School training under such distinguished
teachers as Dame Ninette de Valois and Barbara Fewster.
On graduating was engaged by Alan Carter for the Wuppertal Ballet
Company and performed and toured in the German Opera Houses.
Teachers/choreographers included Domoni Callaghan, Ivan Sertic, who
staged all the Petipa ballets, and Heinz Mansfield. The latter
promoted Susan who created many solo roles in his "Ballet
Abends"
On returning to England taught professional dancers at the Dance
Centre and then founded her school in Surrey. After just two years
was appointed as a Royal Academy of Dance Examiner.
Former pupils of the School are now appearing with major dance
companies throughout Europe, performing in the West End, acting,
teaching, choreographing and lecturing.
The School performs regularly for charity and has raised over
thirty-five thousand pounds.
Students have had the opportunity to dance in the past seven
seasons given by the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Companies and are much
in demand from touring groups such as Northern Ballet Theatre in
Nutcracker.
It is my mission to pass on the wonderful heritage of ballet to
the future dancers, with the hope they will share in the joy of
music and going "beyond technique."
