The Venue
The 5 day Easter School is being held at the prestigious Dulwich College which is only 11 minutes from London’s Victoria train station.
The College’s 45 acre grounds also has good road access with London’s South Circular adjacent to the site.
The Easter School is being held in a very safe environment with all the facilities and accommodation only walking distance apart but importantly all within the extensive grounds of Dulwich College.
The Dance Classes will be held in the College’s own fully rigged theatre with an audience capacity of two hundred and fifty. Recently extended and technically refitted, the facility includes rehearsal and teaching spaces and dressing rooms in addition to the main auditorium. The theatre is used by visiting professional and amateur groups.
Dance Forward has now secured the use of a 2nd large dance studio at Dulwich College. The 18 metre x 13 metre studio will be covered by the internationally renowned dance vinyl flooring used by all the major dance companies, Harlequin Floors. The spacious dance studio will offer students the chance to really extend their dancing potential – especially in the Grand Allegro.
Applicants will also enjoy the use of the Dulwich College Sports Club on some of the evenings. Facilities include a brand new level deck heated swimming pool with life guard.
There will also be the opportunity to relax and let your hair down with fellow students at a Disco Evening in the College’s Cricket Pavilion.
Founded in 1619, Dulwich College is uniquely fortunate in its position, with green and spacious surroundings of its estate.
The College has a boarding house only minutes walk from the studio theatre and dining rooms. Recently refurbished and very well equipped, it has study bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. Accommodation is included in the Easter School package and will be available on a twin/triple basis.
Applicants will also have three meals a day provided by the College’s excellent catering facilities next door to the boarding house and only two minutes from the studio theatre. |
